This is not the typical Hollywood fare you are used to. I found this movie on Hulu+ by accident. I chose to watch it because I recognized the actor who played the lead character's crush(???). You have to give this movie credit for being original. It has some really sweet moments and a few funny ones. The soundtrack is amazing, especially if you're into indie rock, which was my favorite thing about it, which made me almost forget that all of the actors are terrible at what they do(meaning acting). I can't say that I would watch this movie again, but I am glad that I saw it on Hulu+ because it's really hard to find an original movie these days. I kept on thinking about how awesome this could have been if done right. There are some amazing actors out there who would have killed it in these roles. It had some good laughs and some awkward moments that made me feel uncomfortable for the characters(which is a good thing). The music was awesome. Really into the soundtrack right now. If you're into indie stuff you are gonna love this movie! I couldn't really tell if this was marketed as comedy or drama, but if it was comedy then they missed the mark. Overall I'd give this a 3.5 out of 10 which, I guess isn't that bad for a movie that could have been awful. This movie is about a girl named Penny who is in love with Mindy. She tries to get her attention in a number of different ways, but fails miserably every time. Her bumbling attempts to win Mindy's heart are what lead her into trouble with her friends and just about everyone else around her.The film was directed by Marcus Raboy and produced by Jay Anthony Frankevich, Kevin Kallaugher and Michael David Schneider (Son of Morning). The film is a "comedy/drama" film written by Tricia Lee. It is the first produced work that Lee has written under her own name, although she has worked with other screenwriters in creating screenplays for films like "Into the Blue", "Pulse", and "" (both parts). The film was acquired at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2010. The screenplay for the movie was written entirely by Tricia Lee, making it her first screenplay. The movie itself was shot on location in Los Angeles, California. It had an estimated budget of $3 million, not counting post-production costs. The film won Best Feature Film at the Chicago International Film Festival 2011. It was also nominated for Best Feature Film at the Madrid International Film Festival 2011, and the film was shortlisted for the People's Choice Award at the SENE Film Festival 2011. The film was nominated for Best Feature Film at the New Mexico Film Festival 2010, and also won Best Director (Marcus Raboy) and Best Actor (Tommy Nelson). It was an Official Selection at the San Diego IndieFest 2010, winning First Prize for Best Feature. The movie debuted on Hulu+ on July 12, 2013. It is not currently available on DVD or Blu-ray through retail outlets like Amazon.com or NetFlix. cfa1e77820
